Devitt is widely known for his tenure with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) as Prince Devitt. After signing with WWE's development territory, NXT, and adopting his current ring name, Bálor became a one-time NXT Champion, with his reign being the longest in the title's history at 292 days (although WWE recognizes it at 293). Shortly after arriving on the main roster, Bálor became the first wrestler in WWE history to win a world title in their pay-per-view debut, as well as becoming the quickest wrestler in WWE history to win a world title at 27 days following his main roster debut by becoming the inaugural WWE Universal Champion.  However, he relinquished the championship a day later due to suffering a legitimate shoulder injury during the match.

Finn was the first to come out, making the Balor Club rise he felt proud and knew everyone believed in him. Once in the ring the Beast would soon make his way out. Finn didn’t let Brock warm up, and went in for the attack. Being in control most of the match, Brock would throw Balor over the ropes only to then get kicked in the face by Balor, which once again Balor would be in control, only for Brock to switch things up and take control. On the outside it looked like Brock was gonna put Balor through the table but it turned out that Balor threw Brock into the side of the table injuring the Beast and hitting him with 4 over the top rope dives. Finn would continue to take control of the match only to get suplexed by Brock and what we thought would of been the end, Finn kicked out and showed he still had some fight in him. Climbing to the top rope Finn would get ready to hit Brock with a Coupe De Grace, hitting him, and went for the pin only for Brock to the kick out and quickly turn the table around and put Balor in a Kimuar Lock, Balor would try his hardest to get out and slide his way over to the bottom rope but Brock had a tight grip on his arm causing Balor to tap out. Once the match was finished, Brock was not, picking up Finn over and over again hitting him with a Suplex, then leaving the WWE Universe thinking he was finished only to finish off with an F-5 that he tried to give Balor earlier in the match but couldn’t before leaving the ring, with Balor looking dazed.

When it came time to Baron and Braun’s match Baron would believe that he would win by forfeit, but Strowman had other plans. Making his way down to the ring in a sling, Corbin would continue to tell Heath that he couldn’t find because he was still injured. Braun would climb up onto the ring, telling Baron that he must of forgot that in a TLC Match there’s no DQ, and that even if he couldn’t find, he had people to fight for him that believed he was a bad General Manager. Surronding the ring was ever superstar that Corbin had caused trouble to, including Finn. All the superstars would climb onto the ring apron and watch as Heath removed his ref shirt and throw it at Corbin. The superstars then climbed into the ring taking there turns hitting Baron, once Baron had escaped trying to walk away, Kurt Angel’s music would hit and out came the former RAW General Manager. Hitting Corbin over and over again with the chair causing him to retreat back into the ring once again, the superstars already in the ring would continue to hit Corbin with moves. Once Corbin was down and out Heath slipped back on his ref shirt, as Strowman placed his foot ontop of Baron, and got the pin. The superstars celebrated with Strowman before leaving.

It was now time for Finn vs Drew. Drew would come out first, later followed by Finn. The match would start with Drew taking over most of the match, but it would turn around on him for a bit. Finn would throw him out of the ring doing his normal dive over the top rope landing on him and getting him back in the ring about to hit him with a Coupe De Grace but Drew would pick up Finn from the top rope and throwing himself and Finn off. Finn would then gain control again stomping away at Drew on the outside, then lining up to kick him but Drew would grab him by the foot, swipping Balor face first causing Balor to fall off the ring and onto the floor. Drew would then pick up Balor throwing him back into the ring only to get kicked in the face by Dolph, the two would go at it long enough for Finn to build himself back up, once Drew got back in the ring Finn would kick him into the corner causing Drew to fall in the right place for a Coupe De Grace once again, this time Finn would hit it and picked up the win my pin fall.

Backstage after the match Kayla was seen talking to Finn about the match and what he thought about Dolph, as soon as he was gonna speak, Dolph would show up telling Finn that he can thank him later. To kick off the night, Finn was seen on the kick off show, giving his thoughts about the Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman match that was set to happen that night. Renee would then bring up that he would be facing Baron tonight and Finn would answer that he’s been doing this for years, with guys bigger then Baron. He also brought up that if it takes to make enemys in the WWE in order to get what he wants, then he’s Stephanie Mcmahon is an ememy. Renee would then leave it off there and thanking him for coming on.

Corbin started the bout well, knocking down Balor and dominating with knees and kicks. He continued to wear him down with a modified headlock. Early on in the match, Corbin was able to counter each of Balor’s attempts to get back in the bout and kept him grounded. The pace changed when he stopped a charge by Corbin in the corner with a dropkick. He knocked Corbin down with a flying forearm and went to the top rope. Corbin caught out Balor and hit him with a Chokeslam Backbreaker. Balor tried to come back with a Slingblade, but could not take advantage as Corbin hit him with a magnificent Deep Six. Balor dropped Corbin to the corner with a dropkick after countering a Powerbomb attempt. He went for the Coup de Grace, but Corbin caught him and tried to hit an End of Days. This time it was Balor who countered and turned the End of Days into an Inside Cradle to pick up the three-count.The bout was about counters, with Balor trying his best to stop Corbin early on and finally being able to make a comeback in a match where he was portrayed as the Underdog. The feud is clearly far from over, with Finn Balor’s win coming from an Inside Cradle instead of a decisive Coup de Grace.
